About Ember
Camp Ember is a co-ed residential adventure camp located just outside of Round Top, Texas, offering programs for youth in 2nd through 11th grades. Founded in May 2020 by Brandon Johnson, Camp Ember is the realization of Brandon’s lifelong dream. With years of experience working at Texas summer camps and a degree in Youth Development, Brandon witnessed the profound positive effects that camps can have on young people, and he was determined to bring that same impact to Camp Ember.
At Camp Ember, we are committed to providing more than just a summer camp experience. Our facility operates year-round, serving as a multi-functional destination for corporate retreats, weddings, and as a training center for emergency services. We strive to create an environment where learning, adventure, and personal growth are fostered in a dynamic and supportive setting.
We are also excited to announce that in 2024, Camp Ember purchased a permanent home just outside of Round Top, Texas. This new location will officially open for bookings in early 2025, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for Camp Ember.
